1st Day: Airport / Jerusalem
We arrive Tel-Aviv airport where we will be met upon arrival and transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
2nd Day: Mt. of Olives / Gethsemane / Mt. Zion / Bethlehem
Mt. of Olives / We start our tour this morning with a drive up to the Mt. of Olives for a unique view of the Old City of Jerusalem. We continue to visit Pater Noster Church, the site of the Ascension. We then follow the traditional Palm Sunday road to Dominus Flevit and continue our walk down to Gethsemane. We then make a stop at the nearby Mary’s Tomb before we proceed through the Kedron Valley and ascend to Mt. Zion to visit the Room of the Last Supper, King David’s Tomb and the Church of St. Peter in Galicantu. We proceed from there to Ein Karem to visit the birth place of John the Baptist and the Church of Visitation and continue our drive from there to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherds’ Field. We return back to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
3rd Day: Old City of Jerusalem.
This morning we take a walking tour of the Old City. We visit the Western Wall. and walk up to the Temple Mount to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Then we pass by Stephen’s Gate to visit St. Anne Church and Pool of Bethesda. As we walk the final steps of Jesus on the Via Dolorosa, we visit the Church of Flagellation, Ecce Homo Arch, Calvary and the Church of Resurrection (Holy Sepulchre). We end our day walking through the City gates and Old City bazaars as we return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
4th Day: Caesarea / Mt. Carmel / Nazareth / Cana / Tiberias
We leave Jerusalem this morning and head north through the coastal highway to visit awesome ruins of Caesarea. We continue our drive along the Mediterranean Sea to Haifa. We ascend to Mt. Carmel to visit Stella Maris Convent with Prophet Elija’s Grotto. We proceed from there to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, the excavations under the Basilica, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. We view Mt. Tabor from a distance as we proceed to visit Cana on our way to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
5th Day: Sea of Galilee / Capernaum / Tabgha / Mt. of Beatitudes / Magdala
This day we drive along the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, where we visit the synagogue and Peter’s house. We continue to Tabgha to visit the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, and from there on to St. Peter’s Primacy. Afterwards, we ascend to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus gave his most famous ‘Sermon on the Mount”. An inspiring boat ride on the Sea of Galilee will take us to Kibbutz Nof Ginossar where we will take a short drive to the newly excavated site of Magdala, home town of Mary Magdalene, where we will visit the 1st century synagogue and the newly erected Spirituality centre. We then proceed to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
6th Day: Jordan River / Madaba / Petra
This morning we cross Sheikh Hussein Bridge to Jordan. We drive south along the Jordan Valley and ascend East to Mt. Nebo and to visit the Church and mosaic in Madaba. Then we continue our drive to Petra for dinner and overnight.
7th Day: Petra
This morning we visit the Red Rose City of Petra recognized as one of the Wonders of the World. Dinner and overnight in Petra.
8th Day: River Jordan / Jericho / Qumran / Dead Sea
We drive up north to make a stop at River Jordan, then we continue to Jericho where we will have a splendid view the Mt. of Temptation, Elisha’s Spring, the Sycamore Tree. We proceed to visit Qumran and end our day with a dip at the Dead Sea before we head to our hotel for dinner and over night.
9th Day: Ein Karem / The Shrine of the Book
We drive this morning to Ein Karem to visit the birth place of John the Baptist and the Church of Visitation. From there we head past the Kenesset to the Israel Museum to visit the Model of the City and the Shrine of the Book. Rest of the day is Free to spend in the Israel Museum, do reflections, do last minute shopping or strolling around the Old City. Farewell Dinner.
10th Day: Jerusalem – Tel-Aviv airport
We leave Jerusalem this morning and head to Tel-Aviv airport for our return back home
